Bulk online shopping: Europeans dress online
In 2015, more than half of online consumers in the European Union purchased casual or sportswear online. Clothing is the most popular category of online products in European countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia, Poland, Turkey and Finland. These are the results of a study of online sales of clothing research company yStats.com.
Moreover, the share of retail sales of this category of goods in the e-commerce sector continues to grow. In the UK, in the first half of 2016, more than 10% of clothing purchases were made online. Other countries in Western Europe are also not far behind. According to yStats forecasts, by 2025 more than a third of clothing purchases in Germany will be made online.
However, the online fashion industry in Europe and around the world is still trying to overcome significant shortcomings, such as frequent cases of returns. Many consumers return clothes and accessories purchased online because they do not meet their expectations. And all because of the inability to try on the goods before buying.

Do not be too lazy to try on an accessory of a similar size or to estimate the length of a necklace with a dress with which you are going to wear it.

Instagram intends to launch a separate app for shopping
Specialists on the social network Instagram are currently working on creating a new separate application designed for shopping. It may be called IG Shopping.
Using the new application, users will be able to view collections of goods from the trading platforms to which they are subscribed. If you like some product, you can buy it directly in the application. Two informed people spoke about such plans, but Instagram itself refused to comment on this information.
It is still unknown when to expect the presentation of the new IG Shopping application, since its development is still ongoing. In addition, the possibility of a complete rejection of the release of such an application cannot be ruled out.
Currently, Instagram has more than 25 million commercial accounts, and 2 million of them are advertisers. About 80% of social network users are subscribed to at least one commercial account. Creating a separate application will allow Instagram to satisfy the needs of its customers, and at the same time increase its own income. In the future, Facebook will be able to provide additional tools for sellers developing their business within the Instagram platform.
